Cranmer Court, Landlord M&E services refurbishment, Chelsea
On behalf of the building landlord we designed, refurbished and installed upgraded M&E services in this 90 year old, Grade 2 listed high end apartment block. We operated as the principal services specialist for all mechanical services infrastructure and capital plant replacement project.
The project consisted of two phases of installation works run consecutively –
Phase 1 – The complete replacement of all the landlords heating plant and equipment, all associated pipework, fittings and valves, flue systems, and a completely new Building Management Controls System.
All were connected to the existing building distribution system to re-serve all the apartments.
Phase 2 – The installation of a new rooftop LTHW heating and boosted cold water pipework distribution system fed from the landlord’s new basement plant and equipment via two main building
risers.
From this rooftop pipework distribution system there are a further 14 secondary risers dropping through the buildings back of house staircases which will feed a total of 245 individual heat interface units, one for each apartment.
These heat interface units modernised heating and hot water systems and provide individual control of requirements and usage metering.
AD installed a site-wide metering and usage billing system. A heat interface in each apartment allows the provision of heat and water usage bills to each occupier.
