At St. Mary’s Hospital we have installed all new mechanical systems throughout the hospital to suit the new layout. All new heating pipework has been installed throughout the building complete with radiant panels and thermostats to provide heating to the new rooms and corridors. All pipework has been installed in copper crimped system and lagged with foil faced H&V insulation. We have also supplied and installed new sanitaryware for the new toilets and kitchen areas.
Air conditioning has been provided within the comm’s rooms and some of the larger meeting rooms
to provide comfortable conditions for the users. A new heat recovery unit has been installed in the
IT room to provide tempered fresh air. In the larger meeting rooms Monodraught, Windcatchers
have been installed to provide natural ventilation.
The existing boilers and controls have been slightly adapted to suit the new system but mostly
retained. Upon completion the system will undergo the water treatment process and commissioned
to ensure the systems are running efficiently and effectively.
