At Uxbridge we designed and installed 7no. Dalair Air Handlings units whilst the buildings where
occupied. We carefully planned each phase, so the buildings were still being provided with the
necessary ventilation, heating and cooling to minimise disruption. Each unit was craned onto the roof
and bolted together in place. All units came complete with heating and cooling exchangers to which
we adapted the existing pipework to suit. All pipework was installed in steel sizes up to 2 ½ inch
were screwed and 3 inch and above were welded in place. New ductwork and attenuators were
installed and connected the AHUs to risers’ serving the buildings. All new reclaim coil pipework’s and
pumps where installed along with each AHU. Upon completion of the installation all the systems
underwent a water treatment and commissioning process to ensure the maximum performance of
the AHUs were achieved.
We also upgraded the BMS system for the whole building, the existing Auto matrix system dated
back to 1990s was stripped out and replaced with an all new Trend System. All new controllers
where installed in all the Boilers, Chillers and Pump Plantrooms control panels throughout the roof
space. All new networks cable were run to new controllers. Each new tenant space within the 5
storey building had an associated controller. Upon completion the system was commissioned and
successfully demonstrated to the client. The installation has improved energy efficiency.
